Free M3U checker
Paste a playlist link or choose an M3U file, and see if it is written correctly. The check runs in your browser: your link and your file stay on your device, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
What it checks
- A link: whether it is a complete web address, which kind of link it is, and whether a part was cut off when it was copied.
- A file: whether it really is an M3U file, how many entries and groups it has, how many entries have a logo, whether it names a TV guide, and whether any entry has no link.
What it cannot tell you
It reads the text of the link and never opens it, so it cannot say if a link is still active or if a stream plays. A correct link can still fail if the account has ended. For that, add it to a player, or ask your provider. It does not show channel names, and it cannot find playlists for you.
If something is wrong
- Not a web address: copy the whole link again, in one line, from the start to the end.
- Part of the link is missing: the username, password or type was cut off. Ask your provider to send the link again.
- Not an M3U file: the file may be a web page saved by mistake. Open it in a text editor: the first line should start with #EXTM3U.
- Entries with no link: the file was probably cut off, or edited by hand. Those entries will not play.

Questions and answers
Is my playlist uploaded?
No. The check runs in your browser. Your link and your file never leave your device.
Can it open very big playlists?
Yes. It reads a file a piece at a time, so a big file takes longer but does not need to fit in memory.
Does it tell me if my link still works?
No. It checks how the link is written, not whether the server answers. Your provider can tell you if your account is active.
Can I check an M3U8 file?
Yes. M3U and M3U8 playlists are written the same way, and the checker reads both.
NewTV Player is a media player only: it comes with no channels, films or playlists. Before you add any content, make sure you have the legal right to watch it.
